A partir do momento que a canon lançou sua 5d mark II com sensor full frame e a possibilidade de gravar vídeos em alta definição com taxas de qualidade altíssimas, atreladas ao enorme sensor e alta sensibilidade; os videografos tiveram acesso a um mundo que antes parecia distante demais.
Isso porque as HDSLRs trouxeram a todos um excelente BOKEH, com um SHALLOW DoF (curta profundidade de campo), graças às lentes muito claras já usadas na fotografia e ao IMENSO SENSOR FULL FRAME.
A partir dessa nova possibilidade alguns desbravadores iniciaram um processo que foi crucial para a nova videografia do evento social: MENOS É MAIS.
Uma das pessoas de que tenho conhecimento, que foi um dos pioneiros é RAY ROMAN. Ele assumiu a missão de tentar convencer sua clientela que poderia fazer um vídeo muito melhor com menos tempo, diferente dos antigos "LONGA METRAGENS" dos casamentos. O próprio Roman em entrevista para a PHOTO IMAGE BRAZIL deste ano salientou o quanto foi difícil no começo fazer os clientes entender que não se tratava apenas de um vídeo que deixou de ter 1 hora e meia e passou a ter de 15 a 30 minutos. Aos poucos Roman instituiu no mercado esse novo formato de casamentos e hoje é um dos mais conceituados no meio.
